We live in a high-tech world in which we demand more of products than we ever would have dreamed of in the past. Fondly remembering my first new automobile, it had the grand option of a real AM radio. There were no power brakes, power steering or automatic transmission. The only power was under the hood. Today, it would be a challenge to find a new vehicle without power windows, a full stereo and cruise control. Heated seats, navigation and phone options are commonplace.

All of this is a good thing, but not every good idea has to be a technological marvel. The high-tech stuff is nice to use, but the workings are smoke and mirrors for most of us. Often, a simple solution can solve a nagging problem. When we see these solutions, our first thought is often, “Why didn’t I think of that?”

Our customer base has helped us identify industry issues and our quest for solutions has driven us to come up with some very simple, but effective ideas. Read on to see a few of these. Squeeze Bottle Holders

We’ve come up with some catchy product names over the years. Perhaps this is not one of them. The name may not be catchy, but the concept is catching on. Several problems with the handling of squeeze bottles in refrigeration were identified. Since the bottles were often just set in steam table pans, they tended to tip over. Secondly, the pan kept the cold air from reaching the bottles well and allowed the cold that did reach them to escape.

These tales of woe are history with our line of squeeze bottle holders. They fit into a 1/6 size opening and are available in either single, double or triple holders. The bottles are included. The wire formed bottom allows cold air to circulate around the bottles, while the sheet metal top helps hold the cold where it’s needed. Check out our squeeze bottle holder models. Signature Touch™ Squeeze Bottle Warmer

We’ve also observed some very makeshift ways of heating squeeze bottles. The simple solution was to take our great fudge server base and add a holder with three heat-resistant squeeze bottles. The Signature Touch™ is a great way to hold toppings, sauces, etc. Whether the products are used to top off beverages and desserts or for fancy plate decorating, this unit makes it easy. Thermostatic control keeps products at just the right temperature.

Cool Idea!

Aerosol cans filled with dairy toppings are in wide use for topping a wide variety of dessert items and beverages in our industry. The biggest problem with these is that they are filled with a dairy product that should be kept refrigerated and the refrigeration is not always convenient to the worker making up these food items. 

Enter our Whipped Topping Can Coolers, with black or white HOLDCOLD™ jars. They are a clever combination of our HOLDCOLD™ fountain jars and a holder for a whipped cream can. The HOLDCOLD™ jars are frozen prior to use and provide hours of chilled holding time. The time is increased even more if these are used in our insulated Serving Bars. Finally, extra black or white jars can be purchased to be switched out as needed for even longer holding.
